Endowment Fund Donations
The School of American Music is on a 10-year campaign to raise an endowment that will guarantee SAM’s financial future. We urge you to become part of this campaign by donating generously to the endowment fund. We are well on our way to meet our goal to raise $1,000,000 by 2030, but we need your support to get there. The school is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible. In addition, every dollar you donate to the endowment fund will be matched by the Michiana Arts Foundation.
Ways to contribute to the endowment fund:
Make a donation online
Buy tickets to a fundraiser
Make a repeating gift
Donate through a charitable trust
Include SAM in an estate plan
Scholarship Donations
The School of American Music (SAM) is Michiana’s musical connection. Your financial support of our scholarship program enables students to access music lessons, music education, and pursue their musical goals.
Our scholarship fund is supported by tax-deductible donations. Scholarships are available to students who make progress in the program. We raise funds to provide scholarships of up to 50 percent of the cost of lessons based on need. Please see our Scholarship page to learn more about our Scholarship Program.
Your contribution to our scholarship program benefits not just our students, but also the broader Southwest Michigan art community by fostering musical talent.
We are honored to have you as a partner in promoting musical education and are deeply grateful for your generous support.
Harbor Country Singers Donations
The Harbor Country Singers is a community choir that is welcoming to all. Anyone who likes to sing is welcome to join, including all skill levels. The choir is a community outreach of the School of American Music.
Maggie Martin is the choir director and Pat Putnam is the producer for the choir. The Harbor Country Singers choir performs an annual Christmas concert, has given concerts for other occasions, participates in community events throughout Harbor Country such as leading Christmas caroling, and leads community sing-alongs, including outdoors in the summer on the School of American Music’s Spring Creek Stage at the Three Oaks Arts & Education Center.
For more information about Harbor Country Singers, please see the HC Singers page.
Harbor Country Singers concerts and other events are free, as a service to the community, so your support will help fund these events.
