Give My Regards to Broadway

Sing along to show tunes with the Harbor Country Singers, July 13, 2021

Popular songs from Broadway will be the theme of the next Sing-Along with the Harbor Country Singers on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. (ET). The event will be held on the School of American Music’s Spring Creek Stage, 14 Maple St., Three Oaks, Mich., behind the Arts & Education Center. The rain date will be Tuesday, July 20, at the same time.

“We always have a great time when we bring our community together to sing with the Harbor Country Singers,” said Pat Putnam, producer of the event. “It’s especially fun to sing the show tunes because everyone becomes somewhat of a ham.”

The sing-along will include popular Broadway songs, such as “Always,” “My Favorite Things,” “Oklahoma,” and “There’s No Business Like Show Business.” School of American Music Executive Director and voice teacher Donna M. Mitchell and SAM music instructor Ron Spears will join Putnam as song leaders, and Spears will accompany the singers on guitar. Songbooks will be provided, but attendees should bring their own lawn chairs. Musicians are invited to bring instruments to play along.

The event is free and current Covid-19 restrictions will be observed.
