The School of American Music and Harbor Country Singers lead the community in song at the annual outdoor event
Back by popular demand, the Harbor Country Singers’ (HCS) Folk Song Summer Sing-along will be presented by the School of American Music on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. (ET) on the Spring Creek Stage, 14 Maple St., behind the Arts & Education Center in Three Oaks, Mich. In case of rain, the outdoor event will be moved to the Shelter House at Carver Memorial Park, US 12 and Elm St., Three Oaks.
Familiar tunes such as “Both Sides Now,” “Down by the Riverside,” “If I Had a Hammer,” and “Where Have All the Flowers Gone” comprise the evening’s program. Harbor Country Singers Sherry Kanoski, Donna Mitchell, Pat Putnam, and Diane Ruzevich will lead the singers, and School of American Music guitar instructor Ron Spears will accompany.
“Everyone always has a great time at this event,” said Putnam, producer for the Harbor Country Singers. “Each year the crowd gets larger and our voices stronger. It’s a fun way to spend a summer night.”
Song books will be provided, but attendees should bring their own lawn chairs. Musicians are invited to bring instruments to play along.
The Folk Song Summer Sing-along is free and open to the public. For more information, please call the School of American Music at (269) 409-1191, visit schoolofamericanmusic.com, or email email@example.com.
